Jason began his career in Belfast where he developed his keen eye for detail and style. A successful stint at a top London Barber Shop in addition to a marketing campaign with King of Shaves ignited his enthusiasm and desire to open his own business in Belfast which he did in 1997. Jason Shankey Belfast soon became the place to be seen for Northern Ireland's trend set and developed into a revolutionary male grooming club offering a plethora of pioneering male grooming services including Wet Shaving, Facials, Massage, Hair Removal, Hand and Foot Grooming, Body Bronzing, Top Class Hairdressing and Hair Colouring.

Inspired by his success he opened he opened Jason Shankey Male Grooming London in 2004 and Jason Shankey Lisburn Road in 2007. The ultimate aim was to develop the idea of a new generation of gentleman's club offering tailor made grooming & lifestyle services to the high street. This would in turn pave the way for development of a franchise network throughout the UK.

As well as providing haircutting, styling, shaving and colouring it offers full grooming for the discerning male with a full range of treatments including Skin Care, Facials, Hands and Feet, Bronzing, Massage, Hair Removal, Eye Treatment and Custom Made Packages.

In 2008, four years after establishing the Fulham salon as a pilot franchise test run by Ray Khandpur, Franchise Your Business was called in to set up the franchise for this unique opportunity, unique because unlike some other independent salons which have sprung up, Jason Shankey is the first to establish a franchise network.

Total investment for the franchise is circa £100k with an earnings potential up to £100,000 dependent on location. Franchisees do not require any hairdressing experience but they do need management experience. Besides marketing and promotion, franchisor support includes staff recruitment, trade testing and training to ensure the continuation of existing high standards.

Every franchisee receives personal one-to-one training and will receive further training and assistance in their own franchised salon by Ray and the Head Office team. New openings will be supported by PR and innovative marketing campaigns.
